the land of smiles…
I have never been this far away from home and it felt good. It is really amazing how you explore the new aspects of yourself when you are out of your comfort zone. I was in Thailand, Koh Samui, for couple days and then in Bangkok. I was really blown away by the culture and the manners… We are in hotel business, so I know the value of a honestly smiling face, it amazed me how everyone (seriously, every one we have seen and met) was amazingly friendly, smiling and respectful. They really deserve and live up to their slogan ‘The Land of Smiles’. The landscape also amazed me everywhere I go. I would probably become a fruitarian if I’d live there. There’s wide and tasty range of tropical fruits, I particularly adored rambutan and longan! Not to forget the coconut water, I drank liters of coconut water instead of water- it is almost identical to our blood plasma, so it is much more hydrating than any other water…
I think photos would tell much more than mere words, so enjoy the photo diary…
The fruit and wheatgrass buffet
We enjoyed a wide variety of healthy Thai food such as mung bean pasta with Thai herbs.
Raw coconut juice is probably my favorite drink ever. It is a shame we don’t have it in Turkey so I always indulge myself with huge amounts when I am abroad.
I am by no means a yogini, but I really enjoy yoga and try my best to do the poses right. I also liked that there was a huge swing on the beach, it was really relaxing.
We had the privilege to eat some very tasty raw foods in different restaurants…
My fruit plate for breakfast
I was surprised to see a quote by Osho on my shopping bag, which I realized when I am back to the hotel… It was really meaningful for me, reminding that I should open my eyes and enjoy the little details of life.
